We offer yoga classes in the Power Vinyasa Yoga tradition, linking powerful breath with the dynamic movements of the body using the Bowspring Alignment. This series of flow cultivates strength, flexibility, balance, focus and endurance. It is an energetic practice that tones the entire body as well as disciplining the mind. The room is gently warmed 80-92 degrees. Open to all levels of students, these classes will leave you feeling light and open to possibilities.
Breath and Body Power Vinyasa Yoga
This class links vitalizing breath with the mindful movements of the body to create a powerful flow. You will cultivate strength, flexibility, balance, focus and awareness. You will leave class feeling more mindful and revitalized. In every single class you will move through a series of strength building poses, balancing poses, backbends, and inversions. We offer modifications and intensifications during class to empower you no matter where you are in your practice. Get ready to take your practice to the next level as you discover your strength, challenge your boundaries, and awaken your spirit! Classes are gently heated 85-92 degrees.
Level 2 Power Vinyasa Yoga
In this class you will be lead through a series of poses that prepare you for a peak pose. The instructor will provide you with the necessary alignment principles to understand the anatomy, function, and action within the pose. Be prepared to have a break-though with Arm Balances, Inversions, and Advanced Backbends. This class is designed for those wanting to advance their practice, increase their strength, and push their own limits. Classes are gently heated 85-92 degrees.
BREATH and Body power vinyasa yoga with childcare (Available at the Exposition Location only)
Ready to take our signature Power Vinyasa class with the opportunity for children (18 months and up) to come to the studio and play while you get to practice? Additional fees apply.
This class is specifically tailored to those newer to BBY and Vinyasa Yoga, but it will also provide an opportunity for seasoned practitioners to come back to their foundations. In every class we will introduce you to a series of strength building poses, balancing poses, backbends, and inversions. The instructor will breakdown poses and provide detailed alignment to give a greater understanding of the anatomy, function, and action of poses. Class is maintained at a temperature of 80-85 degrees.
BOWSPRING LEVEL 1 (Sridaiva): Based upon the emergent Sridaiva postural system, this class is focused on maintaining the natural curves of the spine within a dynamic postural template called the “bowspring”. This slower moving class is challenging in that it requires awareness and activation of the back posterior chain, which is often weak and under-used. Bent knees, hovering heels, and a full radiant heart allow for the poses to feel springy, light, buoyant, and open. This class is open to all ages, all practitioners. Class is maintained at a temperature of 82-85 degrees.
BOWSPRING Level 2
BOWSPRING LEVEL 2 (Sridaiva): Once you find the Bowspring alignment in your body you can flow and float. In this practice you will expand and deepen your knowledge of the bowspring within a continuous flow of poses. We will play with maintaining the Bowspring on all planes, including upside down. This class will increase stamina and increase your lightness. A working knowledge of the bowspring is required for this class. The studio is maintained at 82-85 degrees during this practice.
YOGA FOR TEENS
Embody Life’s Teen Yoga Program in partnership with Breath & Body Yogais an opportunity for 8th through 12th grade students to develop a yoga practice in an environment tailored to the unique needs of teenagers. Through yoga practice students are empowered to move through personal limits while developing the skills to be their most authentic and unique self in the world as they discover the truth of who they are and what they can do in the world with their heart, mind, body and spirit.This yoga program offers an empowering community experience tailored to teens and integrates yoga practice, mindfulness, meditation, adventure, creative expression, and the opportunity to develop leadership skills and increase self-esteem. Students are introduced to the physical practice of yoga principles and philosophies as a way of viewing and experiencing the world.
Come laugh, learn, move, breathe, and relax. Family Yoga is a wonderful way to connect with your loved ones. Through songs, stories, creative movement, and art, you’ll learn tools the whole family can use to reduce stress, increase focus and attention, and promote health and wellness for body and mind. Ages 3 and up are welcome. These classes are held once a month.

Our corporate program is offered in the quiet of your conference room, corporate gym or classroom setting. These classes are designed for individuals at any level of physical health, while dressed in a normal business attire. Traditionally, yoga was taught one-on-one. Private lessons provide a setting in which your individuality can be completely addressed. The sequence and poses are selectively chosen and developed to meet your specific needs. Learning and practicing postures and breathing exercises at your own pace and within your own range is the most effective way to realize the true power of yoga. Ready to transform your practice with a full analysis of your practice. Just as coaches watch videos to analyze players, we found that a video analysis of poses give you new insight to to the action within your body. Your body is the mirror to your soul. If you are struggling with poses or have reoccurring injuries, let us document your practice. We will record your 60-minute practice, review the video, and develop a plan to bring you to optimal alignment. If you open a book, you’lll find picture perfect poses.
