Class Descriptions

We offer yoga classes in the Power Vinyasa Yoga tradition, linking powerful breath with the dynamic movements of the body. This series of flow cultivates strength, flexibility, balance, focus and endurance. It is an energetic practice that tones the entire body as well as disciplining the mind. The room is warmed to 90 degrees. Open to all levels of students, these classes will leave you feeling light and open to possibilities.

Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga

Founded by Baron Baptiste, this style of yoga is a dynamic combination of strength, sweat and spirituality. Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga detoxifies, heals, and electrifies. This accessible, challenging, and flowing form of yoga will lead you to a state of transformation — it will sculpt, tone and hone the muscles of your body and your mind. Classes are based on a structure of 53 asanas in 11 series. Within the consistency of this proven structure, there are many modifications and variations that serve the needs of all experience levels. Get ready to take your practice seriously, but yourself lightly as you explore your edge, discover your strength, and awaken your spirit! The yoga studio is heated a comfortable 88-93 degrees.

 

Sridaiva Yoga

Sridaiva offers a fresh approach to traditional yoga poses. This intuitive and empowering practice is highly therapeutic and will offer deep growth in yoga practitioners of all levels. Sridaiva emphasizes strength and power in the back body with natural curvature of the spine, creating a bow spring. It is a strengthening, opening and healing practice that will leave you feeling lighter than ever in your body and mind. The yoga studio is heated a comfortable 88 degrees.

YOGA FOR TEENS

Embody Life’s Teen Yoga Program in partnership with Breath & Body Yoga is an opportunity for 8th through 12th grade students to develop a yoga practice in an environment tailored to the unique needs of teenagers. Through yoga practice students are empowered to move through personal limits while developing the skills to be their most authentic and unique self in the world as they discover the truth of who they are and what they can do in the world with their heart, mind, body and spirit.This yoga program offers an empowering community experience tailored to teens and integrates yoga practice, mindfulness, meditation, adventure, creative expression, and the opportunity to develop leadership skills and increase self-esteem. Students are introduced to the physical practice of yoga principles and philosophies as a way of viewing and experiencing the world.

 

POWER VINYASA BASICS

Start from the foundation, ground down, and from there shine out.  Fine tune your practice in this class that will flow but be spacious enough to accommodate the first timer or the seasoned yogi who wants to dive deeper towards their edge.  Whether you want to move at a slower pace or if this class is the only one that fits your schedule, you landed at the perfect place.

Hour of Power

This high energy, 60-minute power flow class is a condensed version of the Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga practice. Open to all levels of practice, this class includes hand balancing and inversions. Be prepared to move, sweat, stretch deeply, and have fun! The yoga studio is heated a comfortable 88-90 degrees.

KID FIT YOGA (Ages 5-9)

Kid Fit Yoga classes are playful and include asana, yoga games, breath work, meditation and a snack. Kids can benefit from this class by gaining self confidence, strength, flexibility and balance. The class is a perfect mix of cardio, endurance, strength and self awareness. Kid Fit Yoga nurtures a child’s inner strength, confidence and self esteem as well as love for one’s self inside and out.

Corporate Yoga Program

Our corporate program is offered in the quiet of your conference room, corporate gym or classroom setting. These classes are designed for individuals at any level of physical health, while dressed in a normal business attire. Private Sessions

Traditionally, yoga was taught one-on-one. Private lessons provide a setting in which your individuality can be completely addressed. The sequence and poses are selectively chosen and developed to meet your specific needs. Learning and practicing postures and breathing exercises at your own pace and within your own range is the most effective way to realize the true power of yoga. Private Plus – Video Analysis

Ready to transform your practice with a full analysis of your practice. Just as coaches watch videos to analyze players, we found that a video analysis of poses give you new insight to to the action within your body. Your body is the mirror to your soul. If you are struggling with poses or have reoccurring injuries, let us document your practice. We will record your 60-minute practice, review the video, and develop a plan to bring you to optimal alignment. If you open a book, you’lll find picture perfect poses.
