Introduction to the postural alignment method of Sridaiva provides an overview of the alignment system that can be used in overall daily posture sitting, standing, or exercising to create an optimal template for overall improved health of the body-mind.
This orientation class will present the fundamental principles of:
Tensegrity in Posture
• With a balance between tension and compression forces of the skeleton and the myofascia, all animals can run and jump with gracefulness and easeful efficiency, particularly 10,000lb elephants, or 1000lb horses, or 200lb cats.
• Using principles of tensegrity learn how to align your body for optimal performance infused with tensile strength, precise balance, and rooted lightness while applying the least amount of physical energy.
Optimal Template & Bow-Spring
• Learn how to create a bow-spring curvature in your spine in all basic postures: standing, sitting, and lying down. This neutral bow-spring shape allows for the optimization of the myofascia tone concentrically on sides of the body. This in turn transmits harmonious pulsations of information throughout the neuro-glandular system connecting positively to all other body-mind systems for healthy functioning.
