The Bowspring Experience: Student Intensive

Breath and Body Yoga is honored to welcome back to Austin, Desi Springer and John Friend for a weekend of dynamic bowls ping alignment. The Bowspring is a dynamically balanced posture for created for anybody and all body types. It offers a new view on body alignment that keeps you living healthy at any age. The Bowspring is an ideal postural shape can be applied to yoga postures, dance, athletics, and most importantly, to everyday postures and movements like sitting, standing, and walking. It provides for balanced tone on both front and back of the body, resulting in graceful lightness and whole body strength. New Dynamic Poses In this Student Intensive. you will learn new dynamic poses that teach students of all ages how to consciously expand the core of the ribs; lift the gluteus muscles to support the natural curvature of the lower back; and evenly tone all sides of the neck. Some of the characteristics of the Bowspring forms are the bent knees, lifted heels, chest and upper back expanded on all sides, broad shoulders, and a long, curved neck. The Bowspring postures are dynamic and in our exercises wemove in all sorts of directions: backwards and forwards, side bends, twists and upside down. We also incorporate dynamic exercises like hopping, jumping and skipping into our Bowspring practice. Also, there is a focus on balancing poses, which reveals universal imbalances we all have.
