There is nothing more important in life than growth!  Take your teaching to the next level, hone your skills as a master teacher, and feel more powerful as a leader and human being.  The time is now, and why not?  If you are already certified (in any tradition) at the 200-hour level, with at least 2 years teaching experience this course is right for you.  You will learn to listen, observe, and give tools in a way that lands with your students in a genuine and powerful way.  This program is designed to take you out of your comfort zone, allowing you to create a class ripe for your student’s transformation.  The intensive nature of this Advanced Teacher Training produces results immediately and creates space for unlimited possibilities in your life and your teaching.

After completing this rigorous and life changing 300-hour program, participants will be certified at the 500-hour teacher level as a Breath & Body Yoga Power Vinyasa teacher.  This training takes 10 months to complete.  The 500-Hour Advanced Power Vinyasa Teacher Training consists of 300 hours of Yoga Alliance-approved content that, when combined with your 200-hour training delivers a comprehensive and advanced 500-hour certification in Power Vinyasa Yoga.

In this training you will

  • Learn to design a challenging Power Vinyasa yoga class through teaching form, action and alignment
  • Learn assisting techniques and tools for basic as well as advanced poses
  • Build a deep understanding of the Universal Principles of Alignment™ plus the Baptiste True North Alignment, the anatomy and kinesiology to create safety for all students
  • Develop skills for crafting demonstrations, leading workshops and creating yoga events
  • Gain extensive knowledge on how to design classes with themes and advanced sequences
  • Learn advanced asanas not taught in the 200-hour training
  • Dive deeper into the current lifestyles and ethics for yoga students and teachers
  • Learn effective presentation and communication skills to teach to different every demographic
  • Develop skills for working with special population yoga students
  • Fully understand the Chakras, the Bhagavad Gita and Yoga Sutras and how they relate to your life and teaching

Open to 200-hour-certified teachers from any tradition, the 300-Hour Advanced Power Vinyasa Teacher Training consists of 300 hours of Yoga Alliance-approved content that, when combined with your 200-hour training, delivers a comprehensive and advanced 500-hour certification in Power Vinyasa Yoga.

Curriculum & Timing

The Breath and Body Yoga Advanced Teacher Training opens you to a deeper understanding of the yoga philosophy and practice, while providing opportunities to learn and experience what it means to be a transformational yoga teacher. You will learn advanced tools, gain knowledge, and the confidence needed to excel in teaching and support your ongoing personal evolution. This training consists of eleven parts and meets monthly. The training will last 10 months in one calendar year. The weekly schedule is as follows:

  1. Wednesday Evening Session 6:00 pm – 10:00 (no asana)
  2. Friday Evening 4:30 – 6:00 pm (Asana Practice), 6:30 – 9:30 pm Classroom
  3. Saturday Noon- 8:00 (Asana plus Classroom)
  4. Sunday 10:00 am – 4:00 (Asana plus Classroom)
  5. There will be occasional field trips to other studios for workshops and guest teachers.
  • As a student in this program you will explore the foundational tools and techniques such as:
  • Understanding the misalignments in your own body and be able to see misalignments in others
  • Take a deep dive into the Universal Principles of Alignment™
  • Learn to give feedback that empowers others and furthers the program
  • Learn to teach based in alignment
  • Learn to teach with a philosophical theme based on the Yoga Sutras
  • Learn to teach weaving the alignment and the philosophical theme together
  • Design a workshop to be presented to the public
  • Learn to workshop poses as well as demonstrate effectively
  • Dive deep into the practical anatomy of yoga poses
  • Understand how the Chakras relate to each other’s way of being
  • Explore the modern-day applications of pranayama, inner stillness, and yogic philosophy, focusing on the energetics of yoga as expressed in breath practice, meditation, and daily life.
