Breath and Body Yoga is honored to welcome Desi Springer and John Friend to Austin for a three day Sridaiva Intensive on the dynamic bowspring alignment. The Bowspring is a dynamically balanced posture created for anybody and all body types. It offers a new view on body alignment that keeps you living healthy at any age. If you are ready to teach or looking to deepen your  existing practice of the bowspring, this Student-Teacher Intensive is for you. Reinvent your entire being, from the way you feel physically, to your emotional responses, to your desire to share this intelligent system with those you care about.


We are offering 3 different options for the training:

1. Student Track $250 (Friday Night only + Saturday, Sunday’s Practice)

2. Intensive Track $180 (All 3 Sessions Friday & Sunday’s Practice)

3. Student + Intensive Track $425 (All 3 Sessions Friday, Saturday, Sunday’s Practice)

STUDENT TRACK DESCRIPTION:

Friday 6:00 – 9:00 pm - Radiant Channel and Radiant Heart of the Bowspring

Discover how the Bowspring gives you a new lightness on your feet, power to move like a cat, and a deeper sense of balance. Learn how to dynamically stand, move, walk, sit, and crawl with a new vital power. In this introductory class of the Bowspring, students will learn about Radiant Heart and the pulsation of life in the dynamism of rooting and rising through the full length of the body.

Saturday 10:30 am – 1:30pm – The Hands and the Feet of the Bowspring

Students will learn how to increase sensitivity and power throughout the whole body by the detailed alignment of the hands and the feet in a wide variety of Bowspring poses. Students will learn all the main elemental forms of the hands and the feet of the Bowspring practice. With a new awareness of your hands and feet, you can bring a greater balance between your periphery and core of your body.

Saturday 3:00 – 6:00 pm – The Head and Tail of the Bowspring 

Experience the rooting and rising of the Bowspring in a wide variety of dynamic postures – flowing standing poses, arm-balancings, and hoppings.

Sunday 9:00 am – 12:00 – The Power of the Bowspring

In this grand finale class of the Sridaiva weekend event, all students and teachers of the Bowspring join together to practice a powerfully transformative postural flow. Students will learn to be mindful of the alignment of 10 key areas of the body-mind into the dynamic postural template of the Bowspring. Will include Q & A and weekend closing meditation.

OPTION 2: INTENSIVE TRACK

Intensive Track: 8 Hours

Friday 9:00 -12:00 & 1:30 – 3:30

Sunday 9:00 – 12:00 (Group Practice & Closing)

INTENSIVE TRACK DESCRIPTION:

Friday 9:00 – Noon – Therapeutics of the Bowspring

Using the template of the Bowspring to improve and rebalance alignment in 10 key areas of the body for optimal functionality.

Friday 1:30 – 3:30 pm – The Playful Pulsation of the Bowspring

Sridaiva dynamic standing poses, one-legged and one-armed balancing exercises, Side Spirals, hops and leaps, and other deeper explorations of the Bowspring practice. Session will include hands-on adjustments.

Sunday 9:00 – 12:00 – The Power of the Bowspring

In this grand finale class of the Sridaiva weekend event, all students and teachers of the Bowspring join together to practice a powerfully transformative postural flow.
