Art of Hands-On Assisting

Art of Hands-On Assisting

In 2005, I attended a workshop in Dallas. There were over 400 participants. As we began the practice, a team of ten assists came through the room and adjusted our bodies. They were not “fixing” us. They were showing us the possibility in the pose. At that point, I turned the woman assisting me and said, “I want to do what you do!” It was a transformational experience for me. I learned so much about my own body and practice. Come join me, Desirae Pierce for a weekend of self-assisting, assisting others and learn to deepen your practice by sharing the warmth of hands-on assisting. You will learn the different techniques of assisting which include, directional assists, supportive assists, verbal assists, directional assists and investigational assists. This weekend workshop will change the way you practice and they way your hands land on others.
