200- Hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Breath and Body Yoga and Yoga Alliance

Karen’s love affair with yoga started when she needed a release from long distance running. Training for races, she knew she needed something to balance out her body and mind. Karen started practicing yoga back home in Arizona. Once she moved to Austin, she looked for a studio that combined movement, strength, and community. A friend introduced her to Breath and Body, and she was immediately hooked. The practice of yoga helped Karen find a balance in her life, workouts, and struggles with body image. Karen practiced at the studio for a year and a half before she decided to make the jump into teacher training. Being a teacher in her professional life, yoga teacher training was the next logical step. She graduated the 200-hour teacher training program in April of 2016. Yoga has reinvigorated Karen’s love for teaching and has given her a new appreciation for her body, strength, amazing yogi community, and their strength and willingness to learn. Karen strives to be of service to her students. She teaches an inspiring class and wants her students to know that she is solely there for them. When Karen isn’t teaching yoga, you can find her running, enjoying the outdoors with friends and family, traveling, or reading a good book..
