Breath and Body Yoga is offering a 3-day intensive training with Katarina Arneric June 1-3, 2018.

Location: Texas Rowing Center at Lady Bird Lake, Austin
Costs: $495 before April 1, 2018 (early bird) / $575 After April 1, 2018

Dates/Times:

  • Friday 6/1 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Breath and Body Yoga
  • Sat 6/2 10:00 am - 12:00 pm; 1:00 -4 :30pm; 5 - 6:30pm
  • Sun 6/3 9:00 am - 12:00 pm; 1:30 - 4:30pm

Three-Day Immersion Course Includes:

  • SUP Yoga training and studio/class set up from E-RYT, Wanderlust instructor, and SUP Yoga instructor of four years
  • Board, paddle, and PFD rentals at time of training
  • A SUP Yoga class
  • SUP Yoga TT Manual
  • Paddle board skills, techniques, safety and training
  • Eligibility for 20 hours of Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Credits

20 Hours on land & water will include the following:

  1. General Board, SUP Equipment, and Paddling knowledge and techniques
    • different strokes and skills both basic and advanced
    • anatomy of boards/ choosing the right board
  2. Water Safety & Equipment
    • SUP specific rescue techniques
    • proper use and care of gear
    • rules and regulations of water ways
  3. Why SUP Yoga?
  4. Assessing the water & conditions
    • wind, waves, tide & current
  5. Assessing students (options & limitations)
    • before the class starts
    • on the water
  6. What makes a good SUP Yoga instructor
  7. SUP Yoga postures (water specific & level options)
  8. Sequencing for on the water
  9. Setting up your floating studio & classes
    • successes from other studios
    • setting yourself and the class up for success
    • partnering with local businesses
    • how to host a SUP Yoga class if you don’t have your own fleet of boards

Requirements:

  • minimum 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Approved Teacher Training
  • have paddle boarded before
  • First-Aid and CPR certified (or at least registered for a class before the training begins)
