There comes a time in our lives where we decide to strive for more, more life, more connection, more truth. We look at creating change and inspiring others. In 2005 a yoga teacher whispered in my ear, “You should consider teacher training.” Those five words changed my life forever. I was in search for my purpose in life. I was in search for love, happiness and joy. So I took the leap of faith and it was the best decision of my life. Teacher Training gave me the tools to live the life I wanted. It gave me the tools to step beyond fear and go after what I wanted in life: to serve at a bigger level. I left the corporate world, moved back to Austin and opened Breath and Body Yoga in 2006. On August 23rd, we begin the 200- Hour Breath and Body Yoga Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training program. Let’s start this conversation now. If you have practiced yoga for a year or more and ready to deepen every aspect of your life, this training is for you. The schedule and details are below. Description of Training:
First impressions are very important. If you are ready to start teaching, this foundational module will give you the tools necessary. We start with the foundation sequence based on Baron Baptiste’s, book, Journey Into Power. You will learn a base foundational sequence, how to set a theme and teach the sun salutations. This module covers the anatomy of the basic sun salutation poses, the modifications and the assists.

Description of Training:
Have you ever generated power? This module you will learn to charge your practice as well as your teaching with powerful teaching tools from the Baptiste Power Yoga and Anusara Yoga methodology. In this module, learn to teach the Crescent Poses, Vitality Poses and Standing One Leg Balancing Poses. Then learn to energize the poses with vitality and energy. You will learn to thread in the anatomy and important tools to set your up for success. With each pose you understand hands-on assisting to stabilize your student. This module also covers the history of yoga.

Add some spice into your yoga classes with deep forward folds, hip openers and strong hand balances When the quads and hamstrings are open, other poses open become so much more accessible. Learn to take yoga students deep into their hips and hidden emotions. This module also covers the philosophy of yoga.

Description of Training:
We continue through the yoga philosophy journey and then turn the training back to the students. This is where you will show us what you have. After an empower review of the past 150 hours, it is time for you to stand in front of the room and teach. Give us what you have. Your assisting training will be assessed as well as your teaching techniques, vocabulary and delivery. Ready for feedback. We will video tape you teaching for you to access and review well after the training is complete.
